This course provides a comprehensive overview of human anatomy with a focus on its application in the field of anesthesia. It is designed to equip students with essential knowledge of the structural and functional organization of the human body. Key topics include the anatomical structures of the respiratory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems, which are critical to safe and effective anesthesia practice.
The course covers the levels of structural organization, regional anatomy, and surface landmarks, with particular emphasis on the head, neck, thorax, and extremities. Students will also explore the clinical relevance of anatomy in procedures such as intubation, intravenous cannulation, and regional blocks.
Through lectures, practical sessions, and case-based learning, students will gain the confidence and skills to apply anatomical knowledge to real-world scenarios, ensuring patient safety and improving clinical outcomes. This course lays the foundation for understanding pathophysiology and pharmacological interventions in anesthesia.
