Medical-Surgical Nursing is a foundational course designed to equip nursing students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment required to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to adult patients experiencing a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The course focuses on the application of nursing theory and evidence-based practices in the management of common health conditions across the lifespan. Students will learn to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with both chronic and acute health issues.
Through a combination of lectures, case studies, clinical practice, and simulation, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of disease processes, diagnostic tests, pharmacological therapies, surgical procedures, and nursing interventions. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and collaborative care in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
